Mr. Torrente is one of our last founding members of the Weston Ranch Staff.  Mr. Torrente opened Weston Ranch in August of 2003 and has been here ever since.  Currently he teaches both AP Psychology, Psychology, PE, and serves as the department chair of the Life Skills department as well as coaches both girls golf and track and field.  Mr. Torrente began his teaching career in 1995 teaching for Los Angeles Unified School District.  He then moved and taught in San Jose and finally moved to Stockton where he joined Manteca Unified by teaching and coaching at Manteca High School until coming here to Weston Ranch.  Before becoming a teacher Mr. Torrente served our youth as a counselor at a shelter, a group home and probation counselor at a boys’ ranch.

Mr. Torrente is also a retired Army Aviation Captain who proudly served for 20 years in the California Army National Guard flying and commanding helicopter units.  Mr. Torrente flew support in every California fire from 1997 – 2010.  Mr. Torrente holds a master’s degree in education from National University and a psychology degree from UC Berkeley where he also represented the school as a division one track & field athlete on full scholarship.  Mr. Torrente graduated from Hawthorne High School where he won the state championship and received All American honors in track & field.  Mr. Torrente’s vast experience as a leader, an athlete, and an educator working with youth make him a valuable asset to the Weston Ranch community.
