Coach Mac (also known as Coach D) has been coaching and working with kids and young adults for 30 years. He became coach for the Weston Ranch High School Varsity Girls team in 2020.

Coach Mac began his coaching career in 1992 as an Interim Assistant Basketball Coach at St. Joseph Norte Dame High School in Alameda, CA. In 2000, Coach Mac and his family relocated to Stockton, CA. He served as Assistant Coach for the Boys Freshman Basketball Team at Bear Creek High School and coached for the Stockton Heat AAU Basketball program in the off-season.

Since 2002, he has served as a Head Basketball Coach or Assistant Basketball Coach for Freshman Girls at Bear Creek High School, Junior Varsity Girls at Lincoln High School, and Varsity Girls at Edison High School. Coach Mac has also coached with the following AAU Clubs: Stockton Mustangs, Bulldawgs (South City Bay Area), Modesto Magic, and East Bay Tigers (Oakland). At the college level, Coach Mac has worked as an Assistant Coach at San Joaquin Delta College for Women’s Basketball and at Chabot College for Men’s Basketball.

Coach Mac holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from the University of Phoenix. His passion is coaching and communicating with young people.  At Weston Ranch, Coach Mac is focused on his young athletes being great students and great young women FIRST.  His goal is to support his players, the school, the teachers, and the community.
