With diverse personal and academic experiences, Mr. Guerrero brings a unique knowledge capability to Weston Ranch High School. Mr. Guerrero grew up in Stockton and graduated from Edison High School in 2017. He then earned a bachelor's degree from UC Merced in Business Management & Economics as well as a bachelor's degree from UC Riverside in Psychology. He then went on to complete a master's degree in School Counseling with a PPS Credential from Fresno Pacific University in 2025. Beyond academics, Mr. Guerrero played soccer growing up and in college. He was named SJAA MVP his senior year of high school along receiving multiple All-League selections. In college, he earned several All-Conference honors as well as a First Team All Region award in 2019. Mr. Guerrero is a passionate professional who is here to be a resource and leader for our Cougars as they navigate their high school years. His goal is to help students reach both their academic and personal goals as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

With a passion for critical thinking and student empowerment, Mrs. Barahona brings a unique perspective to the classroom, shaped by 15 years of experience as a social worker before transitioning to the classroom. Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Barahona is dedicated to fostering inclusive leadership and advocacy as the advisor for Peer Leaders Uniting Students (PLUS) and the Gender & Sexualities Alliance (GSA). Her goal is to create a learning environment where all students feel seen, supported, and challenged to engage deeply with the world around them.

Mr. Borden has been working in education for more than 37 years. He has extensive administrative, teaching, and coaching experience and has served students and staff at all levels. He teaches various Math classes, Robotics I & II, Intro to Engineering, and AP Computer Science. He is also the mentor to the very active Ranch Robotics Club. Mr. Borden is a graduate of the University of the Pacific and earned his MA in STEM Leadership from the American College of Education.

Deena Faruqi is a proud Weston Ranch High School alumna who grew up in Stockton, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, where she discovered her passion for education through an internship at Da Vinci Charter Academy High School. This experience solidified her commitment to becoming a teacher. She has remained actively involved in her community, volunteering with Great Valley’s Give Every Child A Chance program, assisting with the girls' golf team at Weston Ranch High School, and serving as a substitute teacher for the Manteca Unified School District. Her time as a substitute allowed her to work across diverse school environments, but her roots in Weston Ranch inspired her to return and give back as a full-time educator.

Sheryl Glaze

Mrs. Glaze has returned to Weston Ranch High after an absence of two years. She served as the Assistant Principal for Lincoln Unified School District from 2022-2024. She began teaching at Manteca Day School in 2011 as the self-contained SDC (7-12) teacher. She transferred to Weston Ranch High School in 2014 where she taught RSP courses. She has participated in many different committees including the Strategic Lead Team, School Site Committee and the Tutoring Supervisor. Mrs. Glaze was the Special Education Department Chair prior to leaving for LUSD. Currently, Mrs. Glaze is the Library Commons Teacher and also helps with academic and attendance interventions. Mrs. Glaze is committed to helping all students at the Ranch realize their utmost potential.

Mr. Harris has been working at MUSD since 2017. He is a second generation MUSD employee, his dad was a yard duty at Great Valley for 8 years. That's also where Mr. Harris began his career as a yard duty as well. He eventually transitioned over to campus monitor in 2018 at Weston Ranch High School and in 2022 was hired as a teacher. Mr. Harris is a WRHS graduate class of 2013 and graduated from Delta in 2020 with an AS in Correctional Science, an AA in Social Sciences, an AA in Spanish, and a AS in Law Enforcement. He then again graduated from Stanislaus State in 2022 with a BA in Spanish.

Renee Knudson graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a BA in English in 2016. With a passion for literature and writing, she decided to teach English. She received her teaching credential and M.ed from National University. Renee taught English at the high school level for 10 years. In the 25-26 School year, she is the librarian at Western Ranch high school and currently in her second masters degree program for library information science at San Jose State University.
In June of 2025, Renee celebrated 10 years of marriage. She loves what she does and hopes to bring a love and passion for reading to students and others.

Segreant First Class (Retired) Adan Lopez is the Army instructor of the WRHS Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program. The mission of JROTC is “to motivate young people to be better citizens.” Mr. Lopez served in the US Army twice from 2002 to 2005 and from 2008 to 2025 as an Infantryman. Mr. Lopez also performed duties as a Recruiter, Senior Drill Sergeant, and Protective Services Agent for General Officers. Through numerous assignments, Mr. Lopez has served in over 10 countries around the world to include office visits to the Pentagon and the White House. Within the JROTC program, Mr. Lopez coaches the Raider team and overseas military drill instruction for the Cadets. Mr. Lopez graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield, CA. He earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Criminal Justice Law Enforcement and Corrections, a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Homeland Security, and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Emergency Services Management. Mr. Lopez enjoys football season and physical fitness. He once completed the Rock ‘n’ Roll full marathon in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Lopez considers himself low key and a family man that spends his downtime with family and friends. Creating everlasting memories with his wife and two sons.

Ms. Saucedo has been teaching since 2017. She previously taught at community schools, helping students that were underserved. Ready for a change, Ms. Saucedo joined the Weston Ranch staff as a C.A.R.E. teacher. She is excited to be on a traditional school campus and engage in the activities that were not available at a community school. Ms. Saucedo is passionate about reminding students of their worth, calling out their skills, talents, and abilities. She enjoys helping students realize their potential and reignite hope when it has wavered.

Rebecca Sheeley

Ms. Sheeley has been at Weston Ranch since August of 2017. Currently, she teaches Algebra A/B and One. She also coaches the school’s esports teams. Ms. Sheeley began her teaching career in 1997, teaching for a small school in Northeast New Jersey before moving to California. This move brought Ms. Sheeley to Manteca in 1998, where she began teaching at Lathrop Elementary School. She taught fifth grade for 10 years before moving up to 6th-8th grades where she taught for 9 years, before transferring to Weston Ranch. Before becoming a teacher, Ms. Sheeley was a student at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where she got her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Ms. Sheeley also holds a Master of Science Degree in STEM Education from Teacher’s College of San Joaquin. Along with her teaching credential, Ms. Sheeley holds certifications for several Educational Technology companies which allow her to train teachers to use different educational technology tools in their classrooms.

Jess Watson was born and raised in Modesto, graduated from Beyer High in 1997, Fresno State in 2001, earned a Master's Degree from National University in 2011. During his time in college, he won a football championship at Fresno State, and competed in track and field for the Bulldogs. Mr. Watson has been teaching social studies since 2008 after subbing for seven years. He has been coaching sports since 2001. Mr. Watson started at Weston Ranch High School in 2020 and loves how his students, staff, and administrators made him feel welcomed and part of the Cougar family from day one! Mr. Watson is currently teaching World History and coaching football and planning on coaching throwers in track in the spring.

Ms. Willis started at the Ranch in 2007 after 3 years at George Komure as the librarian assistant and textbook clerk. In 2007 she came to the Ranch to work more closely with the kids as an RSP/SDC Paraprofessional in the Special Ed Department. In 2009 she moved to the Moderate/Severe classroom in 303 and remained there until 2014 when she left to pursue teaching at Delta Charter as a K-8 RSP teacher. In 2016 she returned to Manteca Unified as a substitute teacher. In 2017 she was hired as a permanent SPED teacher for the 17-18 school year. In March of 2017 positions at Weston Ranch were being rearranged and she was called in to start her teaching career at WR a little earlier than planned. She finished the end of 2017 as the teacher in room 303 and has remained in the same classroom ever since.

Mr. Rafiq joined Manteca Unified School District as a full-time K-12 school counselor in September of 2024. His home base and office will be at Weston Ranch High School, but he will also support students in the Student Scholars Rising Program at August Knodt, George Komure, and Great Valley. Before MUSD, he worked at El Camino High School in Sacramento for five years as an Intervention Specialist and the College/Career Tech.
In 2005, Mr. Rafiq graduated with a Bachelor's in History from the University of California, Davis. In 2007, Mr. Rafiq completed his Master's in Athletic Administration from Idaho State University. In 2024, Mr. Rafiq completed his Pupil Personnel Services Credential and Master's Degree from National University. Mr. Rafiq has over 20 years of professional experience, three years of experience in intervention, two years of college and career support, two years of athletic academic advising, and over 16 years of basketball coaching experience with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes. His life experiences and abilities to work with minority students and multi-ethnic programs will allow him to make an impact on young students.
