Mr. Fast has been a High School Administrator since 2008 and has been serving as the Principal at WRHS since February of 2018.

Mr. Fast begin his teaching career in San Leandro in 2002 where he worked as a Resource Teacher in grades 9-12. Mr. Fast also taught at George Y. Komure within the WR community for 3 years. After GYK, Mr. Fast taught 7^th grade Math, Science, and Leadership at Mossdale Junior High. Following Mossdale, Mr. Fast was hired as the Vice Principal at Manteca High School and was promoted to the Assistant Principal while at Manteca High School.

In 2018, Mr. Fast was awarded as the ACSA Secondary Administrator of the year. In 2021, Mr. Fast led his team in kicking off the CougarsRising program for WRHS. In 2022, Mr. Fast was awarded as the Principal of the Arts for San Joaquin County.

Mr. Fast earned his teaching credential and Masters degree at Simpson University where he was a student athlete. While at Simpson University, Mr. Fast was a Collegiate All-American basketball player and inducted to SU’s Hall of Fame in 2008.

Mr. Fast and his wife of over 25 years have two children. A family who is rooted in faith, loves experiences, adventures, and the outdoors.

Mrs. Brooks brings a decade plus of experience in education within the Manteca Unified School District. Mrs. Brooks became the Vice Principal at Weston Ranch High School in the 2022-23 school year. and then the Assistant Principal in the 2025-26 school year. Prior to her administrative role, she was a dedicated English teacher at the same institution and also held the position of Co-department chair.

A Manteca native, Mrs. Brooks graduated from East Union High School in 2005, where she also excelled in competitive swimming. Following her graduation, she returned to her alma mater to coach the swim team for five years while pursuing her education at Delta College. During her time at Delta, she not only continued her athletic pursuits in swimming and water polo but also honed her passion for English literature.

She furthered her academic journey at CSU, Stanislaus, earning a Bachelor's degree in English, and later a Master's in Education. It was here that she also obtained her teaching and administrative credentials, solidifying her commitment to educational excellence.

Mrs. Brooks is a doctoral student at the University of the Pacific, pursuing an Ed.D in Leadership and Innovation, a testament to her dedication to advancing educational leadership.

Active in professional organizations, Mrs. Brooks is a proud member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and serves as the Region 7 Chair for the Co-Administrators Committee.

Mrs. Brooks and her husband, who reside in Manteca, share a love for travel and enjoy spending quality time with their dog and extended family. She is deeply invested in her role, expressing, “I take pride in working with an exceptional team and remarkable students. Mr. Hale has transitioned to Athletic Director/Vice Principal after serving as a dedicated physical education teacher at Weston Ranch High School since 2005. As part of the P.E. department, he formerly served as the Department Head for eight years. Throughout his time at the school, Mr. Hale has held several Varsity head coaching positions, including football, track, and golf, as well as assistant coaching roles in frosh football and basketball. His passion for sports stems from his childhood experiences at the Seifert Center in Stockton and playing football for the North Stockton Bengals.

Mr. Hale was raised in Stockton, CA, where he attended local elementary and middle schools and graduated from Tokay High School. Upon graduating high school, he continued his education at Delta College, where he played football for two years and received Academic All-Northern California Honors. He then transferred to Humboldt State University to advance his football career while completing a degree in Kinesiology.

After graduating, Mr. Hale spent one season coaching football at the College of the Redwoods in Eureka, CA, and another at Greenville University in Greenville, Illinois. He obtained his teaching credential from CSU Stanislaus and is pursuing a Master of Education in Administration at Grand Canyon University.

Mr. Hale and his wife are celebrating over 15 years of marriage and are proud parents of three children. Throughout their journey together, they have developed a strong family bond centered on support, love, and unity. Mr. Hale values his family and friends and understands the importance of having a close-knit community. He believes in fostering a network of family and friendships that promote a sense of belonging and community.

Mr. Hale views his role at Weston Ranch High School as a privilege. He appreciates the rich diversity of the student body and the excellence of the staff. Mr. Hale serves with a clear purpose as a role model, motivator, and mentor. He aims to support student success and believes students can achieve anything when they recognize their potential for greatness.

Christina Jara brings 25 years of experience in education, including the past eight years serving our Weston Ranch community. She began as a Special Education teacher and later transitioned to the role of Intervention Teacher, where she worked to remove barriers and ensure support for all students.

Her dedication and commitment to student success have made a lasting impact, and is excited to continue to make a positive difference in her role as Vice-Principal.

Mrs. Carmona has been a School Counselor at Weston Ranch High School since 2015. She grew up in the Central Valley and always knew she wanted to work in the area she was raised in. Spanish was her first language and did not learn English until kindergarten through first grade. After graduating high school, she attended Delta College and worked while completing her general education pathway to transfer to the university. Mrs. Carmona was a first generation college student. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in Community Settings and a minor in Counseling from Sacramento State University. She then went on to earn her Master's degree in Counseling, with a concentration in School Counseling, also at Sacramento State University. Mrs. Carmona is passionate about helping her students achieve their goals.

Mrs. Carmona helps students with a variety of goals, including academic, career, and personal goals. She provides guidance and support to students as they navigate through their high school years and helps them develop plans to achieve their goals. Her role as a School Counselor is to serve as an advocate for her students and to help them reach their full potential. Mrs. Carmona truly loves working at Weston Ranch High and looks forward to continuing her work as a School Counselor here for years to come.

Agustin Guerrero

With diverse personal and academic experiences, Mr. Guerrero brings a unique knowledge capability to Weston Ranch High School. Mr. Guerrero grew up in Stockton and graduated from Edison High School in 2017. He then earned a bachelor's degree from UC Merced in Business Management & Economics as well as a bachelor's degree from UC Riverside in Psychology. He then went on to complete a master's degree in School Counseling with a PPS Credential from Fresno Pacific University in 2025. Beyond academics, Mr. Guerrero played soccer growing up and in college. He was named SJAA MVP his senior year of high school along receiving multiple All-League selections. In college, he earned several All-Conference honors as well as a First Team All Region award in 2019. Mr. Guerrero is a passionate professional who is here to be a resource and leader for our Cougars as they navigate their high school years. His goal is to help students reach both their academic and personal goals as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

Alicia Ocegueda

Mrs. Ocegueda joined Manteca Unified School District- Weston Ranch High School as a full-time counselor in November of 2022. Prior to that, she had the opportunity of completing part of her PPS counseling credentialing hours at WRHS. Mrs. Ocegueda is currently the Academic Counselor for 9-12^th grade students with last names A-E.

Mrs. Ocegueda is an Alumni of California State University, Stanislaus. In 2014, she graduated with a Spanish Bachelor’s Degree. Three years later, while working full-time at Modesto Junior College she returned as a student at California State University, Stanislaus to obtain her Master’s in Education, School Counseling degree and graduated in 2019. In 2021, she returned once again for her Pupil Personnel Services Credential to be able to serve students not only at the college level, but also in the K – 12 school system.

Being a first-generation college student and growing up in the California Central Valley, she understands the diversity and challenges of our communities, and because of this Mrs. Ocegueda wholeheartedly has a passion for education and for students’ success. She would like to contribute to help close equity gaps, advocating for students for inclusion, and a sense of belonging. Mrs. Ocegueda’s ultimate goal is to enhance and promote students’ academic success while creating lifelong opportunities for them to succeed in life.

Johanna Victor

Ms. Victor started at Weston Ranch in the 2023-24 school year as a school counselor. She graduated in 2017 with her Bachelor’s in Sociology at CSU Stanislaus. She then went on to work at Manteca Unified School District for over 3 years. During her time there, she knew that she wanted to one day be a school counselor for the district. In 2021, she decided to go back to school to get her master’s degree. In 2022, she received her Master of Education in School Counseling and her California Pupil Personnel Services credential at the University of Southern California.

Ms. Victor is excited to be home and be part of Manteca Unified School District again. She is even more excited to be part of the cougar family. She serves 9-12^th graders with the last names F-Ma. As a school counselor, she is here to support students in their academics, career, and personal/social. She is here to help our students graduate and plan their next steps after high school.

Ethan Albala

Ethan Albala is a Stockton, CA - based Educator, Theatre Director, and Lighting Designer. Growing up in Stockton, Ethan has been given many opportunities to practice his art in the community. He graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor's of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific, and received his Single Subject Teaching credential in Music from the Teacher's College of San Joaquin in 2022.

Currently serving as the Performing Arts Department Chair and Director of Theatre Arts & Vocal Music at Weston Ranch High School in Stockton, Ethan continues to inspire and mentor young artists, fostering their passion for the Performing Arts. Recently directed productions at Weston Ranch include Sister Act; A Year With Frog and Toad; Almost, Maine; Little Shop of Horrors, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

In addition to his work at WRHS, Ethan also works as a freelance theatrical lighting designer. Credits for shows at Stockton Civic Theatre include: Suessical; Rent; A Little Night Music; 1776; Young Frankenstein; Vanya Sonia Masha Spike; Schoolhouse Rock Live!; The Sound of Music; Doubt: A Parable; Chicago; and A Christmas Carol. Ethan’s work as a lighting designer also extends to other theatre companies in the greater Stockton area.

In 2020, Ethan started the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Rhythm Works, for which he continues to serve as Founder & CEO. With a mission to provide equitable performing arts experiences to underserved communities in Stockton, Rhythm Works has impacted hundreds of young people through its various community programs and partnerships. Kevin Allred is a passionate educator dedicated to inspiring a love for mathematics in his students at Weston Ranch High School. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, he has been shaping young minds since 2013.

A product of the local community, Kevin attended Sierra High School before embarking on his academic journey in higher education. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from California State University Stanislaus.

Driven by his commitment to student success and a desire to make a difference, Kevin pursued further studies at the University of San Diego, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Education. This comprehensive background equips him with the tools and knowledge needed to connect with students on a profound level.

Kevin's teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every student can learn math and reach their full potential. He creates a classroom environment where students are encouraged to embrace the subject, fostering an atmosphere of curiosity and growth. His dedication to this philosophy has helped countless students develop the confidence and skills needed to excel in mathematics.

Beyond the classroom, Kevin is known for being the Data Coordinator and attending and working many campus events such as Friday Night Football, movie night, Trunk or Treat, and many other events.

As a teacher, mentor, and advocate for student achievement, Kevin Allred continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of his students, instilling in them a lifelong appreciation for mathematics and the belief in their own limitless potential.

Lorena Garcia Arroyo

Miss. Arroyo-Garcia began her teaching career at Weston Ranch in 2019. She teaches the Spanish classes for native speakers. The classes she currently teaches are Spanish Speakers I and II and AP Spanish. Her native language is Spanish. When she was in high school her love for Spanish grew in her native speaker’s classes. She was greatly inspired by her Spanish teacher and pursed teaching after graduating high school. Miss. Arroyo Garcia studied Spanish, Psychology and Latin American studies. She studied abroad in Costa Rica while in college where she completed her Latin American studies. She graduated from Stanislaus State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a double minor in Psychology and Latin American studies. Throughout college she worked as a tutor through the Mini-Corps program and as an Early Assessment Program Ambassador in Stanislaus State. After graduation, she then completed her teaching credential and began looking for a teaching position. There weren’t any openings around the Merced area, which is near her family. Although the teaching position at Weston Ranch was far from home, she moved to Stockton and began her teaching career. Miss. Arroyo Garcia is glad about her decision and is thankful to be part of the Cougar family.

Stayce Baptista

AP Department Chair

Mrs. Baptista teaches in our amazing English Department. She earned her BA in English Literature from CSU Stanislaus and later earned her MA in education from National University. Hired in 2005 and spending her entire teaching career here at Weston Ranch, she has taught every grade and almost every class the department offers. Mrs. Baptista created the curriculum and spearheaded the courses for Creative Writing, Medical English III, Medical English IV, and Film Composition and Literature. Since 2006-07 school year, she has taught AP Literature and Composition. Most recently, she began teaching English Honors 1 again after a fifteen-year break; she enjoys the 9th grader eagerness and tenacity. Since 2007 Mrs. Baptista has served as our school’s Advanced Placement Department Chair, where she assists teachers in navigating College Board and aids in the administration of the exam administration every Spring. She is the California Scholarship Federation adviser, serves on our School Site Council, is the Foster Student Liaison, and co-coaches the school’s Academic Decathlon team. One of Mrs. Baptista’s greatest achievements of being at Weston Ranch High School is that her daughter decided to attend school here instead of in her assigned school in Denair (about 45 south of Stockton). Watching her daughter flourish at Weston Ranch in both the AP program and the Visual Arts program will be forever cherished. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mrs. Baptista worked in the dental field as a Registered Dental Assistant. Additionally, she worked in a wound clinic, where is did medical billing and assisted in cleaning and treating wounds. Finally, when she is not teaching, Mrs. Baptista loves to paper craft and spend time helping her husband of twenty-nine years in their two almond orchards in Denair and Hughson.

With a passion for critical thinking and student empowerment, Mrs. Barahona brings a unique perspective to the classroom, shaped by 15 years of experience as a social worker before transitioning to the classroom. Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Barahona is dedicated to fostering inclusive leadership and advocacy as the advisor for Peer Leaders Uniting Students (PLUS) and the Gender & Sexualities Alliance (GSA). Her goal is to create a learning environment where all students feel seen, supported, and challenged to engage deeply with the world around them.

Clayton Basepayne

Mr. Basepayne has been a teacher here at Weston Ranch High School since 2010. Before he became the current Activities Director/ Leadership teacher, Mr. Basepayne was a resource English teacher for 10 years. During that time, he was a department chair, the head Varsity Swim Coach for both girls and boys swimming as well as the Head Varsity Water Polo coach. Mr. Basepayne has enjoyed being active on campus and continues to support the students at Weston Ranch High School.

He grew up in Manteca, California, where he attended Sierra High School. While in high school, Mr. Basepayne was recruited to swim for the University of the Pacific, where as a Student Athlete, he went on to swim for three Big West Championships as part of the Men’s Swimming program. In April of 2016, he, and his fellow college swimming teammates were inducted into the University of the Pacific Athletics Hall of Fame. While at Pacific, he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and his master’s degree in education. It was during his time in college that Mr. Basepayne began to develop an appreciation for working with high school students, it started on the pool deck while coaching and it carried over to the classroom. It was in his third year in college he switched his major to education and began the track that he is still on today.

Mr. Basepayne has three children and has been married to his beautiful wife for more than 15 years and they still live in the community that they both grew up in. He is very thankful for all the opportunities that many of his former teachers gave him because it has put him in the position he is today.

Chris Bauer

Physical Education Department Chair

Mr. Bauer started at Weston Ranch in January of 2004 and has been here ever since. He started in the Science department teaching Biology for two years. After those two years he transferred to Physical Education. He has been there ever since. While in PE he has taught all grade levels. Mr. Bauer has also coached many different sports over the years. He was the Varsity Girls Basketball coach for 15 years, JV Softball for 8, Varsity Softball for 1, Varsity assistant Baseball coach for 1, Varsity assistant Golf for 2 years.

Mr. Bauer graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a degree in Physical Education. He then attended UOP to get his teaching certificate. Mr. Bauer graduated from East Union High School where he was a multiple sport athlete.

Janelle Bauer

Mrs. Bauer started at Weston Ranch in February of 2005 and has been here ever since. She started in the Math department teaching Algebra but moved to the Physical Education department the following year. She currently teaches Freshman PE, Sports Conditioning, and serves as the department chair for the Physical Education Department. Mrs. Bauer coached for many years at the beginning of her teaching career. She was the Varsity softball coach for 9 years and assisted in the Varsity Girl’s basketball program for 2 years.

Mrs. Bauer earned her degree from Cal State Stanislaus where she also earned a scholarship to play softball for the Warriors. She graduated from Sonora High School where she was a three-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was inducted into the Sonora High School Hall of Fame in October of 2021 for her success in athletics through high school, college and beyond.

Sylvia Berchtold

ELD Department Chair

Mrs. Berchtold has been at Weston Ranch High School since 2016. Mrs. Berchtold has taught classes such as Ethnic Studies, World History and is the ELD department chair. When she started at WRHS she was also teaching Spanish and has taught all levels of Spanish, including 2 years as the AP Spanish teacher. In her first two years she also coached the Weston Ranch cheerleaders. She has been club advisor for the Dance club and Acadec. Before starting at Weston Ranch Mrs. Berchtold worked at Hillview Junior High School in Pittsburg where she taught 8^th grade history as well as Dual Immersion history in Spanish. She also started the cheer program and took her squad all the way to the ProBowl to perform in Hawaii.

Mrs. Berchtold is originally from the Weston Ranch Area. She graduated from August Knodt Elementary when it was the only school in the area. Her parents moved to Galt, where she completed high school. She attended Sacramento State University for her Bachelors in History and her Social Science teaching credential. Recently in 2022 Mrs. Berchtold completed her Masters in Education from Stanislaus State University.

Mrs. Berchtold lives in French Camp with her husband Mr. Berchtold, who is also a teacher in Manteca, and their two children Samantha and Benjamin.

Clifford Borden

Mr. Borden has been working in education for more than 37 years. He has extensive administrative, teaching, and coaching experience and has served students and staff at all levels. He teaches various Math classes, Robotics I & II, Intro to Engineering, and AP Computer Science. He is also the mentor to the very active Ranch Robotics Club. Mr. Borden is a graduate of the University of the Pacific and earned his MA in STEM Leadership from the American College of Education.

Robert Brown

Robert D. Brown Jr. is the director of instrumental music at Weston Ranch High School Performing Arts. His music education career started as a music para-educator for Lodi Unified at his alma mater Bear Creek High School. This is his 7^th year of service as a certificated teacher, having previously served in Stockton Unified and Jefferson School District. Robert Brown has both a Bachelors of Music and a Masters of Music in Instrumental Music Education from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music where he graduated magna cum laude and won the University Symphony Orchestra Soloist Concerto Competition. Robert has performed professionally for many years, notably with the Air Force Band of the Golden West and with the San Jose Wind Symphony - he enjoys playing musical theater productions for local theaters when he is not directing student ensembles.

Nicole Burrows

Ms. Burrows came to Weston Ranch High School in 2021. She teaches Spanish 1, Spanish 2 and ELD. Prior to coming to Weston Ranch, Ms. Burrows held a variety of positions in both MUSD and Modesto City Schools. Ms. Burrows taught Spanish at Sierra High School and was the softball coach from 1995 until 2006. She moved to Lathrop High School in 2008 where she taught Success 101, Link Crew and Peer Resource and served as the Athletic Director/ Vice Principal from 2013- 2017. In 2017, she moved to Thomas Downey High School in Modesto where she served as the Assistant Principal until 2021. During her 29-year career, she has been a department chair, a WASC coordinator, a golf coach and a mentor teacher.

Ms. Burrows is grateful to be at Weston Ranch. She enjoys the community and its members. She serves as our Community Spotlight Coordinator, the School Site Council Coordinator, a representative on the ACCESS committee and the Freshman Success Team.

Ruel Celeste

Mr. Celeste is a Weston Ranch alumni who teaches Introduction to Agriculture Mechanics, Welding 1, Advanced Welding, Agriculture Construction, Power Ag Mechanics, Agriculture Wood 1, and Advanced Wood. He is also one of the advisors for the Stockton Weston Ranch FFA which is a student lead organization that focuses on premier leadership, career success, and personal growth. Mr. Celeste began his teaching career in 2021 after graduating from California State University, Fresno. Mr. Celeste has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture education and holds a specialist credential in agriculture.

Omar Centano

Mr. Centeno started teaching in 2022 at August Knodt Elementary as a 5th grade teacher. In 2023, Mr. Centeno started teaching at Weston Ranch High School where he graduated from 2016. He teaches Parallel English 1 and 3. Mr. Centeno is also an assistant boy's soccer coach here on campus. He graduated from UC Merced (May 2021) with a Bachelor's Degree in Management and Business Economics and a Minor in Political Science. He is currently working on his Master's in Education from National University.

Mr. Centeno played travel soccer from elementary through high school. He won 2 Section Championships and 2 VOL titles during his high school soccer career. He was also a 2-time All-League VOL Selection. He played collegiate soccer at Delta College and UC Merced from 2016-2019. He is now coaching youth travel soccer with Stockton TLJ where he coaches a 2011 boy's team. Mr. Centeno is excited to be teaching at Weston Ranch HS, a place he considers home.

Michael Cerezo

Since 2013, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Michael Cerezo is the senior Army instructor of the WRHS Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program. He transferred from Edison High School where he started his JROTC career in 2011. The mission of JROTC is “to motivate young people to be better citizens.” Mr. Cerezo served in the US Army from 1985 to 2010 as a Chemical, Ordnance, and Logistics officer and had numerous assignments in the United States, South Korea, Panama, Germany, and the Middle East. He was also a member of the Armed Forces Chess Championship team. Mr. Cerezo has organized many JROTC drill and sports teams to amass several championship trophies and medals during his WRHS tenure.

Mr. Cerezo has served as the boys and girls tennis coach (2022 SJAA Girls Tennis Champions) since 2019 and co-advises with Mr. DeRoos for the school’s Grandmaster Chess Association.

Mr. Cerezo is a graduate of Santa Clara High School, San Jose State University (BS Biology with Minor in Military Science), and Western Governors University (MS Leadership & Management). His favorite pastimes are enjoying cruise ship vacations with his family, fishing the Delta, and competing in poker tournaments. Mr. Cerezo’s vast experience as a leader, educator, and a coach working with youth make him an instrumental asset to the Weston Ranch community.

Mr. Cisneros is the Success 101 teacher. Mr. Cisneros has been at Weston Ranch since 2022. Mr. Cisneros aka Coach C has been the head coach of boys varsity soccer team since 2013. Before that he coached the JV soccer team from 2009-2012. Mr. Cisneros is a product of CSU Stanislaus where he majored in Kinesiology and minored in Health. He spent 17 years teaching at Great Valley Elementary where he was the head of the 7^th/8^th grade PE department. After years of consideration, moving to the high school level became the next logical step.

As a coach, after making the playoffs for the first time in program history in 2013-14 and losing in the Section Championship Final, Coach C and the Cougars would go on to win the school’s first ever Section Championship in 2014-2015 (In any sport). Coach Cisneros and the Cougars would make it back to back by winning another Section Championship in 2015-2016. Coach C has also coached his team to 3 VOL Championships in 2015, 2016 and 2020. Other memorable seasons include 2019, 2022 where he finished second in the VOL and 2023 when the Cougars finished 2^nd in the SJAA and lost a nailbiter in the Section Semifinals. Overall, he holds a varsity record of 145 wins, 63 losses and 34 draws. The 2014-2015 team will be inducted into the Weston Ranch High School Hall of Fame.

Roland Davis

Roland Davis has had the honor of being an educator for more than 20 years, with 15 of those as an administrator. Roland holds a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, a Masters Degree in School Administration, and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. Roland served as a site principal and assistant principal at both the elementary and high school levels. Prior to becoming a school administrator, he taught 4^th, 6^th and 7^th grade. He currently enjoys his role as a history teacher for high school sophomores and juniors.

Roland has been married to his wife, Jacalyn, who is also an administrator at San Joaquin County Office of Education. Their daughter, Zaire, earned her Masters Degree and is an apprentice writer for Disney. Their son, Roland, Jr., earned his Bachelors degree in biology. Dr. Davis is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and enjoys reading, playing golf, and working out during his spare time.

Mr. DeRoos began teaching in 2000 and has been employed by Manteca Unified School District since beginning his teaching career, having also taught English at Manteca and Sierra High where he coached basketball.

Mr. DeRoos graduated from Manteca High School in 1994. Both of Mr. DeRoos’s parents taught for Manteca Unified making him a second generation educator in MUSD. Mr. DeRoos earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Northwest Nazarene University 1998 and a master’s degree in education from LaVerne University in 2006.

He has taught a variety of support math classes along with Study Skills, and co-taught Integrated Math I and II classes. He coached Freshman and JV Girls volleyball teams along with Varsity Boys volleyball teams at Marysville High School. He lives in Manteca with his wife and 2 daughters. He enjoys playing volleyball and running. He loves spending time with his family. His other hobbies include reading and playing video games with his daughters. He is currently teaching a variety of Math support classes at Weston Ranch High School, including Math I, Math II and Pre-Algebra.

Mrs. Jessica Dickman-Gonzales, M.Ed comes to Weston Ranch with more than 13 years of teaching experience in local colleges and high schools. At the start of her high school teaching career, her aunt, Cheryl Bloom connected Mrs. Dickman to WRHS as a long-term substitute while completing her degree work. She holds a Bachelor’s in English and Anthropology from CSU Stanislaus as well as a master’s in education from University of the Pacific where she was the managing editor of the literary magazine, Penumbra. She has taught English 1 and the Journalism/Yearbook combo class, Prowl Publications.

Mrs. Dickman-Gonzales comes from a family of educators; her grandfather, Coach Art Mathis, taught and coached football at Manteca high for over 35 years. Mrs. Dickman-Gonzales has been working in the Stockton Community for over 20 years. She first started working with young women in the community as a youth mentor at the influence of Coach Mathis while he worked in the county jail teaching life skills. Over the years, Mrs. DG has continued to work with young Stocktonians through community service efforts as well as teaching. Not only does she teach English, but Mrs. Dickman-Gonzales is a certified Yoga instructor and avid gardener. Mrs. DG considers herself a humanist and enjoys supporting the ambitions of those who seek to build a united, optimistic, forward-thinking community.

Deena Faruqi is a proud Weston Ranch High School alumna who grew up in Stockton, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis, where she discovered her passion for education through an internship at Da Vinci Charter Academy High School. This experience solidified her commitment to becoming a teacher. She has remained actively involved in her community, volunteering with Great Valley’s Give Every Child A Chance program, assisting with the girls' golf team at Weston Ranch High School, and serving as a substitute teacher for the Manteca Unified School District. Her time as a substitute allowed her to work across diverse school environments, but her roots in Weston Ranch inspired her to return and give back as a full-time educator.

Mrs. Glaze has returned to Weston Ranch High after an absence of two years. She served as the Assistant Principal for Lincoln Unified School District from 2022-2024. She began teaching at Manteca Day School in 2011 as the self-contained SDC (7-12) teacher. She transferred to Weston Ranch High School in 2014 where she taught RSP courses. She has participated in many different committees including the Strategic Lead Team, School Site Committee and the Tutoring Supervisor. Mrs. Glaze was the Special Education Department Chair prior to leaving for LUSD. Currently, Mrs. Glaze is the Library Commons Teacher and also helps with academic and attendance interventions. Mrs. Glaze is committed to helping all students at the Ranch realize their utmost potential.

Patricia Gonzales

Patricia Gonzales has been part of the Social Science department at Weston Ranch High School since 2006. She has served many rolls throughout her years here. Ms. Gonzales has served as the Social Science department chair, has taught World History, United States History, AP European History, AP United States History, AVID, and ELD, and as School Site Council coordinator.

Teaching is her second career, or third since she is a mother first. She was a cosmetologist before going into teaching. She practiced that profession for nine years before going back to school. From that profession she learned how to listen to clients, how to carry on two or more conversations at one time and of course providing a service that made people happy and confident. Being a mother first taught her patience and appreciation for the smallest things because small things add to bigger things, for example, first step leads to bigger steps, first words lead to a sentence and so on.

Ms. Gonzales began her teaching career in 2005 at Stockton Unified Marshal Middle School where she taught Spanish and ELD English. These two classes showed her that conversation works, if a student can repeat it, talk about it to others, then they will own it.

Weston Ranch High School has been her home for more than 18 years and recently she has taught United States History and AP United States History. Ms. Gonzales says, "I love this School!"

Amari Graham

Amari Graham attended Weston Ranch High School from the years of 2005-2009 and later received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from CSU East Bay. Ms. Graham has been a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated since 2015 and has spent her time doing community outreach and student development around the bay area. During this time, Ms. Graham worked as a Compliance Specialist for the Health Plan of San Joaquin while also homeschooling her then 3-year-old daughter. Ms. Graham completed her Master of Arts in Educational Studies in Secondary Mathematics from WGU in the beginning of 2024 in which she later was gifted the opportunity to come on board as Weston Ranch's newest Mathematics Teacher.

This will be Ms. Graham's first teaching position and she could not be more excited and proud. Ms. Graham believes that anyone can learn math as long as you are taught in the way that you learn, and she is working diligently to prove that belief to her students. She takes pride in being a lifetime Cougar and working alongside remarkable educators that once impacted her. Ms. Graham is a mother to an amazing little toddler and a spunky Standard Goldendoodle who keeps her young and filled with tons of laughs.

After living in Korea for three years pursuing her Bachelor's degree at Korea University, Ms. G moved to California to pursue her Master’s degree in Education at National University. Ms. G is an avid Harry Potter fan, so when she came to Weston Ranch as a late hire in the fall of 2021, she turned her classroom into Hogwarts straight away. Since starting out as an English teacher, Ms. G is now a part of the ELD Department here at the Ranch, helping EL students master their English Development.

Mr. Hager has been at Weston Ranch High School since 2013 as a member of the Social Science department. Mr. Hager is also active in the be.Vital HOSA program on campus. Mr. Hager teaches Economics, Government, AP Macroeconomics, AP European History, World Geography, and Computers in Health. In addition to his classroom duties Mr. Hager is the Head Baseball Coach at WRHS. Mr. Hager has been a teacher in California for the past 18 years and has over 20 years of experience in education. Mr. Hager is active with the Weston Ranch Little League by holding camps for both coaches and players.

Ishmael Harris

Mr. Harris has been working at MUSD since 2017. He is a second generation MUSD employee, his dad was a yard duty at Great Valley for 8 years. That's also where Mr. Harris began his career as a yard duty as well. He eventually transitioned over to campus monitor in 2018 at Weston Ranch High School and in 2022 was hired as a teacher. Mr. Harris is a WRHS graduate class of 2013 and graduated from Delta in 2020 with an AS in Correctional Science, an AA in Social Sciences, an AA in Spanish, and a AS in Law Enforcement. He then again graduated from Stanislaus State in 2022 with a BA in Spanish.

Csaba Hegyi

When Mr. Hegyi was around a 10-year-old little boy, he found one of his grandfather’s physics books with lots of experiments in it. His friends and him spent that summer going through every single experiment possible that they found materials for. That was the moment that inspired and motivated Mr. Hegyi to become a scientist and a teacher. Years later he was accepted to ELTE Eotvos Lorand University, the leading research university in Hungary. There he studied physics and mathematics. Mr. Hegyi spent 18 years teaching in Budapest before moving to California to share his passion for physics and teaching. Right now, Mr. Hegyi is completing his master's degree in STEM education.

Mr. Hegyi is an avid skier and rock climber; he spends his free time mostly in the mountains with friends and his wonderful wife and two kids.

Kaitlyn Hoyer

Ms. Hoyer is a proud product of Manteca Unified, having graduated from Manteca High School in 2016! She continued her education at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, earning a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations in 2019. Ms. Hoyer is currently attending Teacher’s College of San Joaquin to earn her teaching credential.

Before teaching, Ms. Hoyer worked in the communications field in various industries, such as tourism, video games, and digital entertainment. Most recently, she worked with Manteca Unified's Community Relations and Engagement team, celebrating all things education. She even produced this video on Weston Ranch’s Orchestra.

In her personal life, Ms. Hoyer is passionate about writing poetry, songs, and general prose. Dedicated to her craft, she regularly attends writing workshops. She also enjoys hanging out with her nephew, reading by the ocean, and listening to records with her cat, Hero.

Miss Kinlaw began teaching at Weston Ranch High School during the 2021-2022 school year. Currently she teaches the Library Support credit remediation classes. She also coaches both boys’ volleyball and girls’ basketball. Miss Kinlaw began her teaching career in 2013 at the Manteca Unified School District. Prior to teaching at Weston Ranch High School, she taught first grade and seventh grade physical education, social studies, and Peer Resource at Great Valley Elementary School.

Miss Kinlaw received both her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies in 2011 and her teaching credential in 2012 from California State University, Stanislaus. She also earned her Administrative Service Credential in 2020 and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and School Development in 2021 from Teacher’s College of San Joaquin. Miss Kinlaw is passionate about empowering students and seeing them succeed, both inside and outside of the classroom. Miss Kinlaw’s commitment, dedication, and passion, as both an educator and coach, make her a valuable asset to the Weston Ranch community.

John Klaiber loves music, digital media and art! Ceramics was his first real creative love in life but movies and music have always been great teachers and sources of inspiration for him. However, it is and still in many ways is clay, that shows him the way.

Mr. Klaiber is very happy to be here at Weston Ranch helping these awesome students to discover and bask in the joys and life potentials of the arts and creativity.

Each day he learns from our students and am inspired and driven by working with them.

He has an MFA and is currently a full-time student at SJOC Teachers College getting his credential. His fiancé and him have a wonderful little and a daughter born in 2022. He plays the guitar almost every day of his life and hopes to one day have a really cool dog again. One of Mr. Klaiber's life's goal is to be able to take a vacation in space so he always tells his students how to make that happen.

Renee Knudson graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a BA in English in 2016. With a passion for literature and writing, she decided to teach English. She received her teaching credential and M.ed from National University. Renee taught English at the high school level for 10 years. In the 25-26 School year, she is the librarian at Western Ranch high school and currently in her second masters degree program for library information science at San Jose State University.

In June of 2025, Renee celebrated 10 years of marriage. She loves what she does and hopes to bring a love and passion for reading to students and others.

Dwayne Kulm grew up in Stockton and was a three-sport athlete in high school. He attended college on a track scholarship and also competed in interscholastic team debate. Mr. Kulm graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He then earned a Master's degree in Special Education from Cal State Sacramento. Mr. Kulm has over 25 years teaching experience and has been with Weston Ranch High School since 2007. He teaches Social Science, with a focus on 21st Century Literacy Skills. Mr. Kulm currently serves as the Special Education Department Chair. He also is on the Freshman Success Team and the Student of the Month Committee. In the past, Mr. Kulm has coached youth soccer and baseball, high school girls volleyball, track & field. He and his wife of almost 30 years (who also works for Manteca Unified School District) have two children who attend college at Cal State Sacramento and University of California Santa Barbara. During the summer, they enjoy family vacations at the beach and recently completed a tour of Europe visiting London, Paris, Rome, and Madrid.

Segreant First Class (Retired) Adan Lopez is the Army instructor of the WRHS Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program. The mission of JROTC is “to motivate young people to be better citizens.” Mr. Lopez served in the US Army twice from 2002 to 2005 and from 2008 to 2025 as an Infantryman. Mr. Lopez also performed duties as a Recruiter, Senior Drill Sergeant, and Protective Services Agent for General Officers. Through numerous assignments, Mr. Lopez has served in over 10 countries around the world to include office visits to the Pentagon and the White House. Within the JROTC program, Mr. Lopez coaches the Raider team and overseas military drill instruction for the Cadets. Mr. Lopez graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield, CA. He earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Criminal Justice Law Enforcement and Corrections, a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Homeland Security, and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Emergency Services Management. Mr. Lopez enjoys football season and physical fitness. He once completed the Rock ‘n’ Roll full marathon in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Lopez considers himself low key and a family man that spends his downtime with family and friends. Creating everlasting memories with his wife and two sons.

Kongsy Low

Mrs. Low has been at Weston Ranch High School since August 2020. She currently teaches The Living Earth. She has taught Biology, PreAP Biology, Biology SDAIE, Earth Science, Medical Terminology, AP Environmental Science, and Environmental Science. Mrs. Low has been in education for more than 16 years.

Mrs. Low was raised and educated in the wonderfully diverse community of Stockton. She and her family emigrated from Laos when she was a small child. She graduated with honors from Stagg High School and received a full university scholarship from the Community Involvement Program. Giving back to her generous community and family has always been important to Mrs. Low so she decided to pursue a Biological Sciences degree and teaching credentials from the University of the Pacific. This allows her to teach, mentor, and inspire our community’s next generation of young people.

Mrs. Low was blessed with meeting numerous kind and generous individuals who have taught her how important hard work and education are in making dreams become reality. She wants her students to be successful, to be kind and respectful in their words and actions, to actively participate, and feel safe and welcome. Mrs. Mendoza is also our Key club advisor. Key Club is a student-led, high school organization that provides our students with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership skills.

Mr. O’Donnell started teaching in the 2012-2013 school year and has been a Cougar for his entire teaching career. He had began teaching general Health before moving into the Sciences, including Earth Science, Astronomy, and currently the Health Sciences. During the 2013-2014 school year, he assisted in creating a Health Science Academic Pathway on campus called be.Vital that provided WRHS students access to Healthcare related courses and content to inspire and develop our future healthcare professionals. He is the current be.Vital pathway coordinator. In addition, Mr. O’Donnell is currently the WRHS HOSA Future Health Professionals chapter advisor, a student lead organization that is part a larger likeminded community across the state and country that pushes leadership and healthcare skill development. In the classroom he strives for rigorous, engaging, and relevant work based learning and hands on skills and projects.

Mr. O’Donnell received his undergraduate degree in Sports Science at the University of Idaho where he earned an athletic scholarship to play for the football program. After Idaho, he returned to CA and spent his time working towards and completing a Master’s degree and teaching credential. Before teaching he worked in the health and fitness industry.

Mr. O’Donnell is from the Bay Area where he was raised and attended HS. He is married with 3 children and enjoys the outdoors and being active when he can.

Miss Reynoso is a Weston Ranch High School alumnus (class of 2015). Before that, she attended George Y. Komure from kindergarten to 8^th grade. Growing up in Weston Ranch, Miss Reynoso admired her teachers and aspired to be part of their team at a young age. After high school, Miss Reynoso attended UC Davis for 4 years, graduating in December of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and minors in Spanish and Education. During the pandemic, Miss Reynoso began earning her teaching credential in hopes of beginning in the classroom as soon as the world reopened. With a lot of resilience, Miss Reynoso began her teaching career in 2021 substituting for Manteca Unified School District until she was hired as an English Teacher for Weston Ranch High School in 2022.

Miss Reynoso has taught classes such as English II and III. Miss Reynoso has recently created a Crochet Club on campus. Her passion for crocheting extends to her students’ curiosity of learning a new skill. The Crochet Club's intention is to teach more people to crochet in hopes of eventually create products to donate or sell to our community members.

Her mission extends beyond the dance floor; she aspires to help her students discover the profound connection between emotions, feelings, and the power of movement. Her ultimate goal is to not only nurture exceptional dancers but also to inspire personal growth, fostering individuals who dare to dream and become their best selves.

Rebecca Sheeley

Ms. Sheeley has been at Weston Ranch since August of 2017. Currently, she teaches Algebra A/B and One. She also coaches the school’s esports teams. Ms. Sheeley began her teaching career in 1997, teaching for a small school in Northeast New Jersey before moving to California. This move brought Ms. Sheeley to Manteca in 1998, where she began teaching at Lathrop Elementary School. She taught fifth grade for 10 years before moving up to 6^th-8^th grades where she taught for 9 years, before transferring to Weston Ranch. Before becoming a teacher, Ms. Sheeley was a student at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where she got her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Ms. Sheeley also holds a Master of Science Degree in STEM Education from Teacher’s College of San Joaquin. Along with her teaching credential, Ms. Sheeley holds certifications for several Educational Technology companies which allow her to train teachers to use different educational technology tools in their classrooms.

Miguel Torrente

Mr. Torrente is one of our last founding members of the Weston Ranch Staff. Mr. Torrente opened Weston Ranch in August of 2003 and has been here ever since. Currently he teaches both AP Psychology, Psychology, PE, and serves as the department chair of the Life Skills department as well as coaches both girls golf and track and field. Mr. Torrente began his teaching career in 1995 teaching for Los Angeles Unified School District. He then moved and taught in San Jose and finally moved to Stockton where he joined Manteca Unified by teaching and coaching at Manteca High School until coming here to Weston Ranch. Before becoming a teacher Mr. Torrente served our youth as a counselor at a shelter, a group home and probation counselor at a boys’ ranch.

Mr. Torrente is also a retired Army Aviation Captain who proudly served for 20 years in the California Army National Guard flying and commanding helicopter units. Mr. Torrente flew support in every California fire from 1997 – 2010. Mr. Torrente holds a master’s degree in education from National University and a psychology degree from UC Berkeley where he also represented the school as a division one track & field athlete on full scholarship. Mr. Torrente graduated from Hawthorne High School where he won the state championship and received All American honors in track & field. Mr. Torrente’s vast experience as a leader, an athlete, and an educator working with youth make him a valuable asset to the Weston Ranch community.

Carina Torres earned her B.A. in Criminal Justice from CSU Stanislaus. Over the years, she discovered a passion for working with students and has greatly enjoyed supporting young people on their academic journeys.

Since joining the district in 2017, Mrs. Torres has served in various roles, including staff member for Give Every Child a Chance, paraprofessional, and now as a long-term resident substitute. Since 2022, she has been a dedicated substitute at Weston Ranch, taking on multiple responsibilities across campus. She has taught and provided coverage in both the Science and Art departments and remains committed to supporting WRHS in any capacity needed to foster a safe, creative, and collaborative learning environment for students.

Janet Trejo has been a teacher at Weston Ranch since the 2018-19 school year. She has taught most life skills special education classes offered on campus. Janet Trejo attended Chapman University for her multiple subjects and mild to moderate special education credentials. Janet Trejo received her master’s degree in special education in June of 2023 from the University of Umass Global.

Maria Vargas Hernandez

Ms. Vargas grew up in Stockton, CA, and has always had a passion for learning and helping others. After graduating high school, she attended San Joaquin Delta College, where she discovered her love for teaching while volunteering as a tutor for high school students. This experience solidified her decision to become a math teacher.

At Delta, Ms. Vargas earned two associate degrees before transferring to California State University, Stanislaus, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She then continued her education at Stan State, earning her Single Subject Teaching Credential with a Bilingual Authorization.

Ms. Vargas has been working at Manteca Unified School District for four years and is dedicated to helping students succeed and develop an appreciation for mathematics. Her goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can build confidence in their math skills and see their real-world applications. She looks forward to continuing to inspire and guide her students in their academic journeys.

Joseph Verderame

Mr. Verderame was hired in 2004 to be Weston Ranch High School’s Chemistry teacher. Now in his 20^th year at WRHS, Mr. Verderame has taught nearly every section of chemistry that has been offered at WRHS. He has also taught AP Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Forensics, GradPoint, and several other classes. He served as Department Chair of Sciences from 2007 to 2016 and is currently serving as Department Chair of Science and the Strategic Plan Lead/Coordinator for WRHS.

Mr. Verderame has known he wanted to be a chemist since he was 5 years old. For several generations, Mr. Verderame’s family have been medical doctors, scientists, and educators which prepared him for a world in which science and education are central figures in societies prosperity. Mr. Verderame graduated from Peter Johansen High School in 1998 and then went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Sonoma State University in 2002. While at Sonoma State University Mr. Verderame was awarded an NSF-REU grant and began scientific research work at California State University Fullerton and Lawrence Livermore Labs. Mr. Verderame researched and published several structures in the field of Protein Crystallography. After graduating from Sonoma State, Mr. Verderame began work on a master's degree at CSU Fullerton, but after a short while it because clear to him that research was fascinating, but ultimately not where he found his joy. The days he taught at CSU Fullerton were his favorite days, so he decided to follow the steps of his mother, granny, and gramps to become a teacher. Leaving Fullerton and returning to Modesto, he attended CSU Stanislaus and earned a teaching credential in January of 2005, after a brief period as an intern teacher here at WRHS. Never one to sit still for long Mr. Verderame pursued a Masters Degree in School administration which was completed in 2008. He helped build CAJE and be.Vital, has been the curriculum coach for WRHS, and so many other roles. In 2016 Mr. Verderame was selected into the NASA Airborne Astronomy Ambassadors program (NASA AAA) and in 2018 Mr. Verderame flew on NASA’s SOFIA, a heavily modified 747 jet aircraft turned into in a flying observatory, as part of the program.

Mr. Verderame devotes much of his time to helping students and the school grow, but outside of work he has several other interests. He loves woodworking, engineering, working on his home, photography (including astrophotography), and especially loves working on and driving cars with three pedals. Mr. Verderame is married with three grown step-children and currently lives with his wife, Melisa, Cameo (their standard poodle), and their cats (often referred to as the Tweedles, because of their antics).

Jess Watson was born and raised in Modesto, graduated from Beyer High in 1997, Fresno State in 2001, earned a Master's Degree from National University in 2011. During his time in college, he won a football championship at Fresno State, and competed in track and field for the Bulldogs. Mr. Watson has been teaching social studies since 2008 after subbing for seven years. He has been coaching sports since 2001. Mr. Watson started at Weston Ranch High School in 2020 and loves how his students, staff, and administrators made him feel welcomed and part of the Cougar family from day one! Mr. Watson is currently teaching World History and coaching football and planning on coaching throwers in track in the spring.

Jeannine Wayman

Jeannine Wayman began teaching Family and Consumer Sciences in 2016. She enjoys the labs and hands on experience in which the CTE (Career Technical Education) students participate. Previously she had been a long-term substitute at both Sierra and Weston Ranch high schools in ELA classrooms since 2005.

Born in Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Wayman graduated from Enumclaw High School, and then attended Linfield College. She received her dual bachelor’s degree in creative writing and business.

Mrs. Wayman took a long journey to become a teacher. Married to Mr. Wayman, they moved ten times in their first 8 years of marriage. She arrived in California from Utah in 1987. She lived in Lompoc, Whittier, Bakersfield, Fresno, Vallejo, Tracy, Manteca, Escalon, and finally Oakdale. That completed the tour of California. While living in Manteca, she and Mr. Wayman travelled to ST. Petersburg, Russia, and spent two and a half years living in the Middle East and working with a non-profit organization.

She has two children and five grandchildren, one dog, and two cats. She enjoys sewing and wearing costumes, most of which are historically inspired, Disneyland, and Disney Cruises. She attends Costume College in Southern California yearly. In the past she was a member and President of the Manteca quilters.

Ronald Wayman

Mr. Wayman joined the Weston Ranch Staff in the spring of 2006 as a Long-Term Substitute, after returning home from the Middle East, where he worked for a Non-Profit Humanitarian Organization. In the fall of school year 2018-2019, Mr. Wayman joined the staff permanently taking over the Business Department and began teaching Principles of Business, Business Applications and Entrepreneurship. In the 17 years since joining us, he has been the Head Baseball Coach, Head Softball Coach, various position within our Football program, and is currently the Head Coach of the Cougar Football Program.

Mr. Wayman hold a Bachelor of Art in History/Religion and a master’s degree in curriculum. Before coming to Weston Ranch, upon graduation from college, Mr. Wayman went to work for Kmart Corporation as a Store Manager. From Kmart, he worked for a few other retail companies, before joining Target Stores as a Store Team Leader and Trainer. From Target Stores, he answered a “Higher Call,” where him and his family served in the Middle East as Missionaries for 3 years, then proceeded to work with a similar organization as a Regional Director and then eventually as the Vice President of Global Projects. Mr. Wayman is an Ordained Pastor, among the other things he does.

Nicole Williams

Nicole Williams has been an educator for more than 25 years in the Manteca Unified School District. She has taught every grade 1-12, except 4^th and 5^th. Since 2010, Mrs. Williams has been teaching English to 7-12 graders. Mrs. Williams came to Weston Ranch High School in the fall of 2024. She is a passionate educator who values student relationships. She is part of the wonderful English Department and teaches English I, English II, and English III. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Nicole moved to California in 1999. She graduated from D’Youville College in 1998 with her BS in Education. She earned her MS of Education from National University in 2003.

Nicole has 8 children, and one grandchild. She enjoys spending time with her family playing games. She loves to read in her spare time and is in various book clubs. She is extremely excited to be at WRHS and looks forward to being part of this community for many years to come.

Nina Willis

Ms. Willis started at the Ranch in 2007 after 3 years at George Komure as the librarian assistant and textbook clerk. In 2007 she came to the Ranch to work more closely with the kids as an RSP/SDC Paraprofessional in the Special Ed Department. In 2009 she moved to the Moderate/Severe classroom in 303 and remained there until 2014 when she left to pursue teaching at Delta Charter as a K-8 RSP teacher. In 2016 she returned to Manteca Unified as a substitute teacher. In 2017 she was hired as a permanent SPED teacher for the 17-18 school year. In March of 2017 positions at Weston Ranch were being rearranged and she was called in to start her teaching career at WR a little earlier than planned. She finished the end of 2017 as the teacher in room 303 and has remained in the same classroom ever since.

Patrick Windchitl

Patrick Windschitl is a dedicated educator at Weston Ranch High School with a passion for nurturing creativity and empowering students. Patrick embarked on his teaching journey in 2012, and since then, he has been inspiring the next generation in the field of CTE Graphic Design.

Patrick's educational roots trace back to Sierra High School in Manteca Unified, where he developed his own love for learning. He attended the Academy of Art University where he studied Graphic Design. He completed his undergraduate studies at CSU Stanislaus, earning a Bachelor's degree in English for Education, which laid the foundation for his teaching career.

Continuing his commitment to educational excellence, Patrick furthered his academic pursuits at Western Governors University, where he obtained a Master's degree in Learning and Technology. This advanced education equipped him with the skills and knowledge to enhance his students' learning experiences.

At the core of Patrick's teaching philosophy is the belief that all students possess the potential for success in the arts. With his unwavering dedication, he strives to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can harness their creative talents, grow as individuals, and achieve their goals in a career in the arts.

Mrs. Ochoa grew in Mexico and studied Child Development at UMSNH (San Nicolas de Hidalgo University). Mrs. Ochoa has more than 20 years working in the educational field. She moved to New York in 1992 and had the opportunity to work in a Catholic school for 6 years.

In 2008, she had the opportunity to move to California and continue her studies at Delta College. Meanwhile, she started to work at Migrant Education as a Tutor for 6 years, and she also worked for 4 years as Main Office Clerical at Migrant Camps. Mrs. Ochoa started to work in Manteca Unified School district in 2019.

Mrs. Rugnao has been working for MUSD since 2006. She worked at August Knodt Elementary school as a RSP Paraprofessional for a few years. Afterwards, she subbed all over the MUSD as a Para RSP and Para SDC. Also, she worked 1:1 with an SDC student. Mrs. Rugnao enjoys working with students, and thinks it's important to maintain a positive attitude in order to keep up with the school spirit! She has a great sense of humor, filled with lots of joy and laughter.

Mrs. Rugnao graduated from St. Mary's High School. She attended San Joaquin Delta College from 1992-1995, and earned her AA Degree. Then she attended the University of Fresno from !995-1997, and received her BS Degree in Health Science. Mrs. Jacobs, is a school Psychologist, who has been a part of Weston Ranch High school since it opened in 2003. In her job position she conducts assessments for special education services, participates in IEP meetings and some counseling and consulting with teachers. She moved to CA after graduating with as MA in educational psychology from Northeastern University in Boston MA and started working at Manteca Unified in 1998. She has worked at different high schools, elementary schools, and alternative education settings in the district. She considers Weston Ranch High school her home away from home. She has been involved in fundraising activities supporting childhood cancer awareness since 2012 and this is a cause close to her heart. Three years ago, she helped start a scholarship fund for seniors at Weston Ranch High school called The Jason Alve Memorial walk. She likes to get involved in activities that help student at the high school both academically and socially like the Cougar Care Closet. She has stated that she wants to continue to support the students and staff at Weston Ranch High until the day she retires.

Mr. Rafiq joined Manteca Unified School District as a full-time K-12 school counselor in September of 2024. His home base and office will be at Weston Ranch High School, but he will also support students in the Student Scholars Rising Program at August Knodt, George Komure, and Great Valley. Before MUSD, he worked at El Camino High School in Sacramento for five years as an Intervention Specialist and the College/Career Tech.
In 2005, Mr. Rafiq graduated with a Bachelor's in History from the University of California, Davis. In 2007, Mr. Rafiq completed his Master's in Athletic Administration from Idaho State University. In 2024, Mr. Rafiq completed his Pupil Personnel Services Credential and Master's Degree from National University. Mr. Rafiq has over 20 years of professional experience, three years of experience in intervention, two years of college and career support, two years of athletic academic advising, and over 16 years of basketball coaching experience with youth, high school, college, and professional athletes. His life experiences and abilities to work with minority students and multi-ethnic programs will allow him to make an impact on young students.
